After practicing physical therapy in a sports medicine setting for 5 years, she moved to West Africa. Recognizing the extreme need for local physical therapy services for children with disabilities in Sierra Leone, Katy then transitioned to volunteer work in home health pediatrics, which led to implementing the first rehabilitation department for the local Ola During Children’s Hospital.
