Dr. Esther Reed is a physical therapist who joined Physical Therapy Your Way in May 2022. She earned her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Radford University in Virginia.
Esther has a special interest in working with orthopedic and sports or exercise related injuries as well as pelvic health in both men and women. She has taken multiple pelvic floor courses through Herman and Wallace and has been refining her manual skills through courses from the Institute of Physical Art. Esther has also completed two level one Functional Dry Needling courses through Kineticore. She became a board-certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in 2020. Esther uses a functional movement oriented approach to therapy with a strong emphasis on improving proper movement mechanics to facilitate long term gains and decrease risk of re-injury or loss of function. She focuses on patient education to promote understanding and knowledge in all aspects of physical therapy related to the injury to promote return to higher levels of function.
Esther enjoys spending time outside hiking and rock climbing. She likes playing volleyball and basketball as well as watching the Chicago Bears. She also has a dog and two cats that occupy her spare time.
